The Pope Baldwin Bike Path is a paved bike trail in Lake Tahoe, California that stretches from the border of South Lake Tahoe, California to the start of California State Route 89 to Emerald Bay. Along the way past Pope's Beach, Kiva and Baldwin.
A branch of the road passes directly through Pope and Baldwin Estates in the Tallac Historic area run by the US National Forest Service. It also passes through Taylor Creek, a popular area especially in the autumn when the Kokanee salmon is laying eggs.
The Rainbow Trail leads to the National Forest Visitor Center and a flow profile center that allows visitors to see underwater.
The bike path on the side of the road connects to Fallen Leaf Lake Campground leading to beautiful lake views.
The trail is open all year round (depending on the snow) and is free for everyone to use.
