The airport is served by United Express until July 1, 2012. Colgan Air operates a United Express service with Saab 340 turboprop flights to Houston (IAH) before this service is suspended leaving the airport without scheduled passenger service at that time. Ground transportation is then provided by the United Express bus service to George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and the bus service continues today with several day trips.

Historic flight service

Trans-Texas Airways (TTa) and its successor Texas International Airlines serve the Beaumont/Port Arthur area for over 30 years. In the fall of 1949, the Houston-based TTA operated a 21-seat Douglas DC-3 (called "Starliner") to the airport six times a day with all flights operating daily round-trip routes Houston Hobby Airport - Galveston - Beaumont/Port Arthur - Lufkin, TX - Palestine, TX - Dallas Love Field. Beaumont/Port Arthur was also served by Eastern Air Lines during the 1950s and 1960s with Convair 340, Convair 440, Lockheed Constellation and Martin 4-0-4 propliners with flights to Houston/Hobby Airport, TX and direct services to Baton Rouge, LA and New Orleans, LA. Several Eastern flights continue to Atlanta, GA; Newark, NJ, Boston, MA, Corpus Christi, TX and Brownsville, TX. Delta Air Lines commenced passenger service in the 1950s with a multistop linear route: Houston Hobby Airport, TX - Beaumont/Port Arthur - Shreveport, LA - Little Rock, AR - Memphis, TN - St. Louis, MO - Chicago Midway Airport, IL. Delta operates this round-trip service with Convair 440. Delta inherited this Houston-Chicago route through Beaumont/Port Arthur when it was acquired and merged with Chicago & amp; Southern Airlines served the airport in 1950 on a Douglas DC-3 plane.

The airport also has a scheduled passenger jet service provided by no fewer than six airlines at different times over the years. Trans-Texas Airways (later renamed Texas International Airlines) operates the Douglas DC-9-10 jetliner and the Convair 600 turboprop with service to Houston and Dallas. According to the February 1, 1976 edition of the Official Airline Guide (OAG), Texas International operates directly, there is no change of DC-9 service jetliner from Los Angeles (LAX) to Beaumont/Port Arthur, although five (5) intermediaries stop being made on the journey between LAX and CPM. Texas International then merged into Continental Airlines which in turn continued to operate the jet service from the airport. In 1979, Southwest Airlines operated an uninterrupted Boeing 737-200 aircraft to Dallas Love Field (DAL) with four flights a day. In July 1983, Continental flew the Boeing 727-100 jet and McDonnell Douglas DC-9-30 nonstop to Houston (IAH). Delta Air Lines flies the Boeing 727-200 jet and the McDonnell Douglas DC-9-30 jet on nonstop service to Houston (IAH) and Shreveport (SHV) with direct flights to Atlanta (ATL). At one point, Delta was also operated directly, no changes to Boeing 727-200 jet aircraft from Beaumont/Port Arthur to New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA). Delta Connection, operated by Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA), flies the CRJ-200 Canada jets to Atlanta and operates Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia to Dallas/Ft. Worth, which ended when Delta closed their DFW hub in early 2005. ExpressJet operates as Continental Express flying the Embraer ERJ-145 regional jets to Houston (IAH). American Eagle also serves the airport with turboprop Convair 580 followed by Saab 340 turboprop with nonstop service to Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) on behalf of American Airlines. USAir Express serves the airport also on behalf of USAir (now US Airways) with nonstop Beechcraft 1900C turboprop service to New Orleans (MSY).

Additionally, a number of independent commuter airlines serve Beaumont/Port Arthur at various times over the years including Metro Airlines along de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter and unstoppable 330 turboprop flights to Houston (IAH) as well as the Short 330 nonstop service to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Royale Airlines with EMB-110 bandeirante nonstop service to Houston (IAH) and direct to New Orleans (MSY), Air Texana with Beechcraft prop nonstop service to Houston Hobby Airport (HOU) and Dallas Love Field (DAL) and non-stop Douglas DC-3 flights to New Orleans (MSY), and Conquest Airlines with Beechcraft 1900C and Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner nonstop turboprop service to Austin (AUS) and Dallas Love Field (DAL). Conquest Airlines was originally based in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area before the airline moved its corporate headquarters to Austin where a hub and speech operation was subsequently established.
