Funnel Balls is a public playground game. Giant fiberglass or plastic funnel, about 5 feet in diameter with a 45-degree inclination, placed on top of a pole. The exit of the funnel is a few holes or tubes of 1ft diameter, projected parallel to the ground, and spaced equally around the bottom. The play consists of throwing a ball (like a basketball or a small medicine ball) into the mouth of the funnel and waiting to get out through one of the holes. Each hole is marked with a point value, ie. 2, 4, 6 and 8 points. The ball usually bounces inside the funnel for a short time, making the result of a nearly random shot. Shots that come out through the desired holes are rare because they require tremendous accuracy, and because the targets are somewhat hidden. There is no official score for what game is played, and the game can be played with a high score winner or a low score winner. Both teams and games "each player for oneself" are commonplace.
