Cherry Plain State Park is a 175 acre (0.71 km km) state park located in Rensselaer County, New York in the United States. The park is located in Cherry Plain in the southwestern part of Berlin City, near the border of Massachusetts. Outdoor recreation opportunities are also available in the District Wildlife Management Area, , a conservation area of ââ4,153 acres (16.81 km 2 ) that almost surrounds the park.

Cherry Plain State Park offers beaches, picnic tables with pavilions, playgrounds, recreational programs, nature trails, hiking and biking, cross-country skiing, fishing (bass, bullheads and pickerel), ice fishing, and boat launches with boat rentals. Thirty campsites are available in the park, including ten trailer sites, ten tents near Black River Pond, and ten sites that can only be reached by hiking.
Cherry Plain State Park is almost completely surrounded by the Wildlife Area Wildlife Area of ââ4,153-acre (16,81 km), run by the New York Department of the Environment. The minimally upgraded WMA offers opportunities for hiking and cross-country skiing on a nine mile (14 km) hiking trail and seven miles (11 km) from the truck lane, in addition to horse riding, hunting and trapping spaces. In addition to wildlife typical of forested areas, such as white-tailed deer, beavers, and wild turkeys, the Capital District's Wildlife Management Area also hosts deer, which recently arrived in the region from neighboring countries.
