Magix Music Maker is a commercial digital music editor, designed by the Magix company for the consumer sector. In its current form, its program attributes come from Magix's professional audio workstation, Samplitude. The first version of Music Maker was published in 1994. With over a million copies sold, Music Maker has become one of the most successful music editing programs in Europe. Magix Music Maker is user friendly and someone without experience in music production is able to create songs in various genres.
The CD version for PlayStation 2 was released in 2003, followed by the Deluxe Edition on DVD in 2005. In 2013, Music Maker Jam was released for download at Windows 8 stores. Versions for Android follow later that year.
