Natasha Bianca Lyonne Braunstein (born April 4, 1979), better known as Natasha Lyonne , is an American actress. He is best known for his role as Nicky Nichols on the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black, where he received a nomination for the 2014 PrimeTime Emmy Award for the Best Guest Actress in Comedy Series, and Jessica in the American film series Pie . His other films include Everyone Saying I Love You (1996), Kumuh Beverly Hills Area (1998), and But I'm a Cheerleader (1999).

Lyonne was born in New York City, the daughter of Ivette Buchinger and Aaron Braunstein, boxing promoters, race car racers, and radio hosts, who are much in tune with Al Jaffee cartoonists.

Lyonne's parents are both from an Orthodox Jewish family, and he himself grew up in Orthodox. His mother was born in Paris, France, to Hungarian Jewish parents who were victims of the Holocaust. His parents divorced, and Lyonne and his older brother Adam returned to America with their mother. After moving back to New York City, Lyonne studied at Ramaz Rabiz School Joseph H. Lookstein, a private Jewish school, where Lyonne said he was a scholarship student who took the Talmudic honorary class and read Aramaic. She was expelled for selling marijuana at school. Lyonne grew up on the Upper East Side, where he felt he was an outcast. His mother then moved their family to Miami, where Lyonne graduated from Miami Country Day School. Lyonne is estranged from his father, who lives on the Upper West Side until his death in October 2014 and in 2013 is a Republican candidate for the City Council for Manhattan's sixth District. Lyonne says he is not close to his mother and basically lives independently of his family since the age of 16.

Careers

As a young man, Lyonne was signed by Ford Modeling Agency. At the age of six, she played Opal at the Pee-wee Playhouse, followed by a movie appearance in Heartburn, A Man Called Sarge, and < i> Dennis the Menace . Personal life

Lyonne lives in New York City.

During the early 2000s, Lyonne experienced legal problems and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, and for incidents involving his neighbors. In 2005, he was evicted by his landlord, actor Michael Rapaport, following complaints from other tenants about his behavior.

In 2005, Lyonne was admitted to Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan under pseudonyms, suffering from hepatitis C, heart infections, and collapsed lung; he also underwent methadone treatment. In January 2006, an arrest warrant was issued to him after he was absent in a court hearing relating to a previous issue. His lawyer said an emergency had emerged, but gave no details. Later that year, Lyonne was accepted at the Caron Foundation, a drug and alcohol treatment center, and appeared in court afterward. A judge sentenced him on parole.

Lyonne underwent an open heart surgery to repair the damage caused by her heart infection. He recovered from surgery, and discussed his past health problems at the The Rosie Show in March 2012.
